Our Mission
At Hennes Excavating, our mission is to provide expert level excavation services to Harvey County and the surrounding area. We accept a wide variety of projects, but we actively seek and excel at complex projects that others tend to abandon. We want to be the first contractor you call so you can rest assured the job is done right the first time at a fair price.
Commitment
Throughout the entire lifecycle of a project we are fully committed to our clients’ happiness and the success of the project. We give fair cost and time estimates and quickly adjust to project changes and weather delays. High quality materials from local vendors are preferred over larger chains. Communication is always open and honest. We stay onsite to manage the project from start to finish.
Capabilities
Our stable of equipment includes skid-steers, track loaders, mini and large excavators, a rubber tracked dozer, a mini tracked loader, big wheel loaders, and single/tandem/triple axle trucks. We have several skid-steer attachments such as a post hole auger, stump grinder, harley rake, and more. We are also licensed in Harvey County to install sewers. Check out our services!
Our History
Founded
1955In 1955, Bill Hennes founded the company in Jordan, Minnesota. Dave began to learn the trade from his father as soon as he was able to drive.
New Opportunities
1978In 1978 Dave began to expand his own excavating endeavors and master his craft.
Move to Newton, KS
1998In the winter of 1998, Dave moved his family to Newton, KS. He had to reestablish the business, but it did not take long before people began to notice the quality of his work. Dave quickly built a reputation for being skilled, friendly, and reliable with most clients gained by word-of-mouth.
Partnership with Loren Hennes
2013Over the years, many of Dave’s clients became familiar with his youngest son, Loren, who also grew up learning the family business. In 2013, Loren joined his father in the excavation business full-time. This partnership has allowed Hennes Excavating to expand the services they provide.
